Wooden Lamp

Exchange semester

Bergen, Norway

The Cone Lamp is a plug-in solid wood lamp developed during my semester abroad in Bergen. Crafted from six different types of wood arranged in a colour gradient, each wooden scale was designed through drawing and laser-cutting. These scales were then moulded into a three-dimensional shape using steam, creating an organic luminaire reminiscent of a pine cone.

The special feature of the lamp concept is the plug-in system, which connects all the components together without additional fixings. In total, the lamp has over 80 components and a central bar that serves as both a suspension and connecting element.
